At Washington First International Bank, we strive to provide quality banking services to our customers.   As financial services professionals, entrusted with sensitive financial information, we respect your privacy, and are committed to treating your information responsibly.  We are very proud that customer privacy and confidentiality have been among the top priorities at the Bank.

It is our policy to comply with all Federal and state laws pertaining to the privacy and confidentiality of customer information.  Our employees will not divulge your financial information to anyone outside the Bank, except as specifically authorized by written instructions  from you or contained in legal documentation as required by law.

Information Collection

 Our main concern when collecting and maintaining customer information is to provide you with the best possible customer service.

 We obtain nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

 ▪ Information we receive from you on applications or other  forms;

▪ Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and

▪ Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies.

 Information Use

 Your customer information is used within the Bank for a variety of reasons, including the following:

 ▪  To develop or improve our products and services.  We collect and analyze customer information, such as account activity and history, in order to find ways to improve our current products and services, or to develop new ways to meet your needs.

 ▪ To provide you with excellent customer service.  Your customer information allows us to respond quickly and efficiently to your inquiries.

 Access to your nonpublic personal information is restricted to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide you with our various products and services.  Our employees are trained to fulfill their responsibilities by maintaining customer confidentiality and privacy at all times.  If necessary, disciplinary action will be taken to enforce our policies on protecting your personal information.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal standards to protect your nonpublic personal information. 

Disclosure of Information

 We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

 If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice.

 Exception for Service Providers

 We only disclose necessary customer information to companies that perform services on our behalf, such as check printers, credit reporting agencies (for credit verification and fraud control purposes) and companies that prepare account statements.

 Information Security and Protection

 We are committed to the security of your financial and personal information. Our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment, which prevents unauthorized access to your account information.  We maintain and grant access to your information only in accordance with our internal security standards.

 Protect Your Customer Information

 If you suspect that someone has obtained unauthorized access to your account, or access to your personal information (such as Social Security Number or credit card information), please notify your Personal Banker immediately.
